UNC Group to Conduct Research During 290-Mile River Expedition in Canadian Arctic

University of Northern Colorado Professor Jimmy Dunn is leading a group that includes students on a 290-mile river expedition of the Canadian Arctic. They will conduct research to gauge how far north spruce trees are growing since Dunn's first visit to the area 40 years ago. When finished, Dunn says the project will become part of the literature that assesses whether temperatures in the north are increasing.

Emergency Alert System to be Tested June 14

A test of UNC's Emergency Alert Messaging System will be conducted about noon on Wednesday, June 14. The test message will be sent to UNC email accounts, text-enabled campus phones, subscribed cell phones (text message) and campus emergency poles. If you want to sign up to receive emergency alert text messages on your cell phone or if your cell phone number changed recently, instructions are available on the Emergency Alert System website.

Portion of 22nd Street Closed June 12 for Repair Work

The portion of 22nd Street between 10th and 11 avenues will be closed Monday, June 12, while the city of Greeley conducts asphalt repair work. The C parking lot will be accessible from 23rd Street.

Ursa Unavailable 5 a.m.-Midnight Saturday

Ursa will be unavailable from 5 a.m.-midnight Saturday, June 10, while Information Management and Technology performs an upgrade on the systems. For more information, contact the Technical Support Center at 351-4357.

Discounted Little Theatre of the Rockies Tickets Available for Faculty, Staff, Students

Discounted season and individual performance tickets are now available for UNC faculty, staff and students for the 2017 season of UNC's Little Theatre of the Rockies, which opens June 8 with Baby and also includes Peter and the Starcatcher, Simply Simone, Proof and Sister Act.

LTR is the oldest continually operating professional theater company in Colorado and one of the oldest in the nation.

David Grapes, director of UNC's School of Theatre Arts and Dance, begins his second year as producing artistic director for the theater's 83rd season.

ASAP Seeks Volunteers for Fall Semester

The Assault Survivors Advocacy Program is currently accepting applications from students who are interested in being either a volunteer advocate or intern for fall semester.
